CCAL has been named a Distinguished Speaker and will present the seminar The Insurance Defense Dilemma: Conflicts of Interest Regarding Insurance Defense Under a Reservation of Rights at the 38th Annual Community Association Institute National Law Seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada January 18-21, 2017. The seminar will discuss the coverage options insurers have regarding defense of potential claims with a focus on the most prevalent coverage option; defense under a reservation of rights and the potential conflicts of interest a reservation of rights defense may cause for the insurer, the insured and insurance defense counsel.

Areas to be discussed include: CC&R's, bylaws, and rules & regulations; roles of the Board and of the homeowner; service providers; reserves & budgets; assessments; bills; and delinquencies.
